Birthday Purse

A purse made for my daughter's friend. I struggle with gift ideas for children because so many children in our area have so much. One more toy is too much and is likely a duplicate. The big thing at the birthday parties now is gift cards. My child attended a party where all the guest of honor received was gift cards except for our gift. Last year was our first year of small birthday gatherings at home. After seeing presents sit in my kids closets for 2 years and spending way too much money on birthday bashes at the roller rink, bowling alley, jumpy place etc., I thought no more. They have enough (what a concept). The kids still talk about where they are having their parties for this coming year but they will be at home and very small.

That is just so cute! So very nice and way more fun than any toy or whatever it is kids get for their birthdays (Pokemon cards ieew).
Your gift is about attention and effort and I'm sure that is appreciated! As are kids parties at home, my kids still want to have their birthday parties home (11 year old boys)

Thank-you, Anne. Good for your boys, Baking Soda! My 11 year son goes between the home party and a some activity on his birthday. His past birthday we celebrated at the lake with just the immediate family then at home with grandma on his actual birthday. Whatever it is for this coming year it will be small, sweet and special.
