Here is the inside of the cake. Can you guess which layer was dry? Hint, the bottom layer. My son also requested homemade chocolate ice cream. It was my second time making chocolate ice cream and a custard style. I am told it tasted good and chocolatey. The first time I attempted chocolate it turned out tasting like a fudge pop, which are good, but I want the rich chocolate flavor.

That looks like a yummy cake & that great chocolate ice cream cancels out the slight dryness. What a great mom!
Oh, he is a demanding little fellow! How lovely to know what he wants already. If you think that the cake is a bit dry the ice cream adds moisture to it. ;o )
